Every day we are faced with decisions. Some of these decisions we make off the cuff,
and some we stop and consider the implications of our action. But then there are other times where we do
neither and stay stagnant. We refuse to
make a decision. This can be a result of
both indecisiveness and fear. In class
we talked about a situation where a man laid his hand upon a lady’s hand while
they were dining at a table. In that moment
the lady chose neither to move her hand nor embrace his. Instead it was a lack of acknowledgment of
the man’s affection. This is not how we
are to live life. Decisions are at our
every corner and if we do not act on this and move in one direction or another,
we will be disrupting someone else’s decision making. In that moment the man had made a decision to
initiate feelings for the woman. This
decision should have been met with another decision of either acceptance or
rejection. But when neither was given,
he leaves confused and vulnerable.
