Donnie Darko
“Donnie Darko” is a film about a boy who is dealing with a
mental disorder that causes him to believe he knows when the world is going to
end based on the knowledge he receives from a masked man. This man tells him to
do all kinds of horrible things in his sleep and tests him. In this film,
Donnie deals with time travel and is in control of his own fate and the fate of
those around him. After causing the death of some and information leaks about
others, Donnie goes back to reality and dies at the end of the film when he
before cheated this situation. I’ve seen this movie twice now and I still
believe that I could watch it a third or fourth time to completely understand
the plot. All of the time travel makes it very confusing to understand and
touch upon.
