Northfork
“Northfork” to me was a little too strange to enjoy. It had
a way of taking a dark situation and make a joke of it. The characters in the
movie were either your average Joe or completely outlandish. The barren
landscape left the audience feeling upset and empty. It was sad to see the
little boy lose his purpose and feel locked inside this abandoned ground after
he died. I think his innocence kept him from realizing that his dream world
wasn’t as glamorous as he had seen it. The men that were seen as angels were only
doing their job to make a profit even though they told the residents of the
homes that they were doing them a favor. Maybe I didn’t fully understand the
plot, but I didn’t really like this film.
